I completed 2 half marathons & two 50 K ultras within 9 months of starting to run at 57 age just following the novice 1 plan. It's a great place to start training for marathons & even if you suddenly plan a race having lesser than 16 weeks gap, you can jump in to somewhere in between the plan too based on your current status of running. Thanks for the innovative plan
