I was 54 when I ran my first marathon. I chose the Marine Corp Marathon because I like to run races where there are interesting sites along the way. It was a fantastic experience that I was truly able to enjoy because of my proper training with Hal Higdon's Novice Plan! I am 61 and am training for my 2nd marathon and am planning on using the same plan! It works!
