Body
I loved having a simple plan like the Novice 2 to keep me motivated and on track during the long months of marathon training. At the beginning, the long runs intimidated me. But the natural progression of the training schedule worked perfectly. It was funny how towards the end of the plan a 12 or 13 mile step back week long run felt easy and casual while at the begining that distance felt hard and intimidating. Following this plan, I was able to run a 3:57:10 for my first marathon!
